What we collect

Last updated 27 August 2026. When you register on OSOE we collect what the form asks for: your name, your email address, your company, your role, your consent choice and the time you sent it.

Alongside the form we keep a hashed form of your IP address and your browser type. The hash is one-way; we cannot turn it back into your address.

If you continue with Google we receive the name, email address and profile picture that Google shares with us. We never see your Google password. The only scopes we ask for are openid, email and profile.

Why we collect it

We use your details to put your tool or your organisation on the OSOE map. That is the point of the registry, and it is the first thing we do with what you give us.

We send one confirmation email so we know the address is yours. With your consent we may also send occasional messages about OSOE and the Coalition. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

We keep the hashed IP address and browser type to keep the registry honest. They help us tell people from bots and keep automated entries off the map.

Where it lives

Your entry is stored in the OSOE registry database, which runs on the operator's own infrastructure. It is not held by a third-party marketing platform.

We do not sell your details, we do not rent them, and we do not share them with advertisers.

The only people who see them are the people who run OSOE and the Coalition, and only to do the things described above.

Cookies

The site sets one session cookie to keep you signed in after you continue with Google. That is the only cookie we set.

There are no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. If you register through the email door, the site works without any cookies at all.

Your choices

You can confirm, correct or remove your entry at any time by writing to the address at the bottom of this page.

If you never use the confirmation link, your unconfirmed entry is removed after 48 hours.

We answer removal requests within 30 days.
