IADD fits an open standard. It is a neutral convener - competitors sit at one table, nobody picks winners - and it was built to teach, which is how a standard gets adopted. It is the home of MWD, and its members are the room this was first proposed in. So the ask is the people sitting here, already aligned with an open layer, and the first of them have stepped forward.

The founding band has three parts. IADD incubates the standard under its neutral roof, and ThinkGraph.io leads OSOE platform creation and operations. And Gordon Technologies is the founding toolmaker: the first working models in the open library are built from Gordon engineering, proof that open machine standards and vendor excellence advance together. Everything the three of them build is built in the open, starting with this site.

This site is built in the open, and so is the plan behind it. The outline below is the living site map - the same document the build process reads from. When the plan changes, this view changes, because it is the plan, not a copy of it. The plan needs funding, and the way it is funded is just as open.

osoe.io has two doors, and this public site is open to everyone. Behind the members door sits the engine itself: query the ontology, browse and propose mappings, and watch validation as it happens. Membership dues are how the bridge is funded, and the bridge itself stays free. A first-in sponsor's official gear APIs get evaluated first - never made the standard by fiat - because merit does the rest.

That has been the rule since the project began. OSOE was built to embrace OSDU, not to replace it, and it is incubated with IADD. There are three ways in: toolmakers register their tools; operators name two or three tool classes for a shadow-mode pilot; standards bodies liaise with us on the OSDU Equipment Extension. Whichever door is yours, it opens the same way.
